Massification and the Sublime

What is my role as artist? That is the question I face each time I pick up my camera. For me, photography has always been a way of being; a vehicle for exploration, discovery, reflection and expression; the path to the next question, my attempt to distill some sort of meaning out of the vast sea of signs and symbols that fill our world.

Man is, by nature, a builder, a problem solver. My work faces addresses some of the challenges we have faced and how we as creative thinkers we have worked to overcome. Where there is a problem we find a solution, where there is a question, we find an answer. In this body of work I have attempted to locate and photograph places where our problems, our will to survive, and our creativity intersect.
